NAIP Project on ENBI - Complex Division of Nematology
Nature of interactions among the entomopathogenic nematodes, their bacterial symbionts and the insect hosts
Objectives
To study the variations in the Entomopathogenic Nematodes-Bacteria-Insect (ENBI) complexes in major cropping systems.
To understand the phenomenon of transition in symbiotic bacteria (EPB), Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus associated with entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN), from an effective entomocidal to a non-effective phase.
To understand the mechanism of virulence of EPN-EPB complex and insect resistance.
