Patent / Technologies / Methodologies / System etc. (Upto Five) :
- Biomass deconstruction and bioethanol production: Standardised process for ethanol production from alkali pretreated rice straw.
- Identified and characterized Azolla microphylla strain as best suited under Northern Indian climatic conditions. Standardized its cultivation conditions in tap and waste water media with least phosphorus content.
- Developed process which provides scalable platform for production of 130 L of ethanol and ~100 Kg value added product (lignin) from one ton of rice straw, with limited water use and minimal generation of wastewaters.
- Developed biological process for delignification and pretreatment for paddy straw. The process also led to recovery of value added lignins. Compared different chemical pretreatment methods with biological method for bioethanol production.
- Produced potent cellulase mix through solid state fermentation using Aspergillus strain.
