
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) is an institution working at grass-root level with welfare of farmers, farm women, school dropouts at village and block level in district. KVK is also organising and conducting trainings to upgrade the skill of extension workers of Agri and Allied Department of State Government. KVK plays a vital role in agribusiness management, by organizing and conducting its mandated activities and other extension activities. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) sanctioned the establishment of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) at Shikohpur, Gurgaon in the year 1984 under the administrative control of ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi. Shikohpur is about 50 km from IARI, New Delhi and 15 km from district headquarter, Gurgaon. It is connected to NH-48 (Delhi-Jaipur) through a 2.5 km long metallic link road. The KVK is located at 28.380 N latitude and 76.980 E longitude.
