Post Graduate Lab

 

The Division has a well-equipped laboratory for Post Graduate Students.

 

 Instrumentation Facility I 

LC-HRMS: Mass spectrometry to quantify known materials, to identify unknown compounds within a sample, and to elucidate the structure and chemical properties of different molecules. 

GC-MSMS: It is an analytical method that combines the features of gas-chromatography and mass spectrometry to identify different substances within a test sample

 

 

Instrumentation Facility II

v GC-ECD, GC-FID: Gas chromatography GC is a separation technique widely used for identification and quantification of volatile organic compounds including pesticide residues.

 

LC-MS-MS, HPLC: Liquid chromatography (LC) is separation technique used for identification and quantification of polar organic compounds including pesticide residues.

 

 

Regional Honey and other Beehive Product Testing Laboratory

·         In order to meet the regulatory requirements of rigorous testing and certification of honey and allied products, on 20th May 2021 to mark the “World Bee Day”, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Honorable Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, launched, in virtual mode, National Bee Board funded project for “Setting up of the regional State-of-the-art NABL Accredited Honey and other Beehive Product Testing Laboratory” at Division of Agricultural Chemicals, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi in the august presence of Shri Parshottam Bhai Rupala and Shri Kailash Choudhary, Hon’ble Ministers of State for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Dr Trilochan Mahapatra, Secretary (DARE) and DG (ICAR).

·         Honey and other beehive products are being tested for FSSAI recommended 17 quality parameter s in ICAR-IARI
